Professional career. Overview

Graduated of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu”, Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1988, score 9.60 of 10. Graduated in General Ophthalmology in 1994.
Senior Ophthalmologist in1998. Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Lead Clinician for Strabismus since 1996, Head of Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Department, Oftapro Ophthalmology Clinic, Bucharest, Romania
She attended training courses, fellowship programs, hands-on workshops and hundreds of meetings and conferences (see the list of Medical Education). She founded the first clinic in Romania specialized in Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology, Oftapro. Dr. Cioplean is co-founder of Romanian Society of Strabology and Paediatric Ophthalmology in 2001. She provided over 8500 strabismus and other ophthalmic surgeries until 2024 as primary surgeon having over 25 years of qualified experience in Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology.
20 years of partnership in the programme of Cyber-Sight Educational Telemedicine Program as a partner, afterwards as a Mentor.
Coordinator of the Fellowship program in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismusin Oftapro Clinic.
Current member and secretary of the examination board for the EBO fellowship certification in Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology (FEBO SP).
